Iceland

Where: Ring Road

Total accommodation cost: $2,291.00 [Camper Van--things are so expensive there!]

Peru

When using AirBnB, reach out to the host to see if they are willing to negotiate on a price. Especially properties that don't have very many reviews, or bookings (according to the calendar) may be willing to come down on price.

For instance, I saved $80 on my most recent stay alone!
